OUR HEAD TEAM

For almost twenty-five years, we have envisioned Sustainability in its broadest definition, with the goal of protecting resources for future generations. We manufacture high-quality fabrics while minimizing environmental impacts and maximizing the beneficial impact on workers and the community.

The company is constantly expanding, with over fifty workers and new installations, and it remains a family business in every way, with each member of the Danzo family fitting perfectly into their job. All of this is made possible by the collaboration and support of colleagues who have worked and believed in the company for a lifetime, as well as the young minds who will grow alongside it.

Production

Our fantastic role model to follow and continuously learn from. An unlimited pool of information, culture, wisdom, and humility. Together with our father, he handed on to us and continues to pass on to us every day the dedication and unconditional love for our profession.

FRANCA GRANDE - Designer

Fashion design and product management

“I began working in this company as a weaver, then moved on to oversee production processes, until I dedicated myself to research and development while maintaining customer relationships.

I am in charge of the company’s fashion division’s design office.
My involvement is mostly in the development and proposal of new ideas, which are aided by a close interaction with apparel and accessory customers and my regular travels to stay in touch with them as much as possible.

My work is combined with a strong determination, which has always inspired me and which I believe is essential in allowing creativity to have an industrial application. I can confirm that, despite everyone of us having an essential position and attitude within the company, we work as a synergetic team. This is another aspect of our work in which we strongly believe and which surely stands out.”

SILVIA EMANUELA DANZO - Designer

Office design and furnishings

“Since I was a teenager, I’ve had a strong affinity for all things related to design and art in all of its forms.” Every summer from 2010 to 2016, I worked in the company, from weaving to quality control, to have a better understanding of each production phase.

I finished a three-year degree program in “fashion design” at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan while working for the company, and I graduated in 2019. This helped me become a better designer by equipping me with the knowledge to create a methodology for the entire process of creating a new collection—from researching trends to designing the product itself. This allowed me to balance my irrational side with my rational side and take into account the business aspects that a designer must always consider.

I have been in charge of the Style Office and the development of new furnishing fabric collections for a few years. Additionally, since I followed my father on domestic and international business trips at a young age, interacting with clients and businesses along the way, and going to the major textile fairs on a regular basis, I have been able to follow along with him as specific customer requests have developed.

I discovered my place in this profession, which is constantly evolving, the appropriate meeting between my constant urge for change and the utilitarian perspective of a product, which a designer must never lose sight of.

More than anything, I enjoy being challenged by new experiences, which is why the consciousness of non stop learning and absorbing in this sector, is what makes textiles a particularly fascinating world in my opinion.”

MATTEO ALESSANDRO DANZO

Suppliers and production

“I’ve been working closely with Violeta Balasescu and Alessandro Peripoli (historic employees, production managers) for about three years to optimize production management and yarn orders for both furniture and fashion.”

I quickly built solid relationships with our suppliers and took on the job of staying up to date on all certifications (to date FSC, GRS, GOTS). I am excited about this position because it will allow me to develop in many areas. When you perform in an environment like ours, where individual sensitivities and dynamics blend with the group, you are exposed to more stimuli than in conventional working relationships, with the opportunity of rapidly learning many more things and getting constant enjoyment.

Given my young age, I can say that I have a significant amount of responsibility, which would not have been easy to invest in elsewhere, in similar organizational dimensions. In this sense, I can attest that the company I work for places a high value on young people.”

GIULIA FEDERICA DANZO

Customer orders and samples

“I’ve always been fascinated by my grandfather’s work, which my father is now carrying on.” As soon as I finished my accounting education, I began contributing to the company.

However, while in school, I had the opportunity to apply for other jobs in the commercial sector as well as attend several international trade shows where the company displayed its latest products. I joined my father on those occasions, and as a result, I was able to observe how our company’s commercial operations are constructed. In this historical era, where many young people my age want to work primarily in the tertiary sector, I chose to go against the trend and stake my future on the textile industry, as did my brothers. This happened because we grew up with a father, who never gave up on us, and taught us strong work ethics.”

PAOLA SCHIAVO

Quality control

“My natural creative tendencies along with my meticulousness, manual dexterity, and attention to detail have led me to develop an ever-growing passion for sewing and incredibly precise work for both work and pleasure.” During my leisure time, I embellished my girls’ skate dresses, and during my working hours, I managed the fabric quality control.

From the time I was a young girl, I have supported my husband since the company’s founding and worked for approximately ten years in two different locations—first in the Vicenza area and then in the Biella area—in a historic clothing and knitwear company. During this time, he attended the textile university of Biella. I was the company’s “mending and quality control” specialist for the majority of my career, but in more recent years, I have also taken on the role of department supervisor.
